Head, shoulders, knees and toes!

The new year started off with lots of dancing to the tunes of “Head, shoulders, knees and toes” and “Hokey pokey”.  Our topic was “Our body” and our little students started learning vocabulary about facial features and body parts.

Mr Potato Head and his family came in to help reinforce learning through play , with the children excited about the endless possibilities of using the toys to create new characters.

We also created boy and girl characters by making life -size cut outs and colouring them as a group. We labelled the pictures with the words that we learned and these decorate our English classroom now!

Finally, we wrapped up the topic by playing fun rounds of “Twister”.
